The Runner’s Identity for Shoestring Budgets
Breaking Marathon Limits is Norway’s leading running podcast and a team of highly regarded running coaches. The BML team doesn’t mess around; they are razor-sharp and extremely focused on their goal: making people run faster than ever before.
The Brief
BML came with a straightforward brief: create a no-frills brand with a classic runner silhouette that conveys the message instantly and is easy to use in various situations. From being printed on split shorts and singlets to embroidered on caps, it had to work through the most affordable means.
The colour palette was chosen to work on both dark and light backgrounds, also nodding to the colors of the Norwegian flag. This approach allows the logo to be used in different applications by changing only one color: black or white, potentially reducing printing costs.
The runner silhouette is another key element, paying homage to running legends like Frank Shorter and thousands of other running groups. After all, these are their target audience.
